The Foundation is governed by a board of trustees drawn from across Ohio's legal and civic leadership — appointed by the Supreme Court of Ohio, executive and legislative leaders, bar associations, law schools, and community organizations.
Board leadership guides the Foundation's grantmaking, stewardship, and strategy on behalf of Ohioans who need civil legal help.

How the board is composed
Trustees are appointed by and represent the Supreme Court of Ohio, the executive and legislative branches, Ohio's bar associations, its law schools, and community leaders — bringing the whole justice system to the table. This structure keeps the Foundation accountable to the courts, the profession, and the public it serves.
