Foundation board votes to approve $7.2 million to nonprofit civil legal service providers in 2026
The Foundation's board of trustees voted to approve $7.2 million in funding for 2026 to Ohio's nonprofit civil legal service providers — the organizations that deliver free civil legal help to low-income Ohioans across all 88 counties.
It is an honor to invest in the vital work of Ohio's civil legal service providers, which help low-income Ohioans and strengthen the communities they call home.
— Angie Lloyd, Esq., Executive Director
The funding is drawn from the Foundation's core revenue sources — interest on IOLTA/IOTA trust accounts and the civil filing-fee surcharge — supplemented by grants and private donations, and leverages more than two private and alternative dollars for every federal dollar.
Justice works — when it's funded.
Invest in the civil legal aid that keeps Ohioans housed, safe, and fairly heard.
